What if I don't receive an SMS code from Plaid?Updated 14 days ago

Not receiving your one-time password from Plaid to sign into your bank account? We're sorry you're having trouble.

The one-time password is sent via SMS to the phone number associated with your Plaid account. Sometimes, mobile carriers can experience delays in delivering these codes. If you've been waiting for more than 30 minutes and still aren't receiving a code, Plaid recommends these troubleshooting steps:

  • Verify that the displayed phone number matches your current cell phone number
  • Check that your phone can receive SMS messages and no blocking settings are enabled
  • Close and reopen your browser, then request a new code - Plaid recommends using Google Chrome, as it tends to work best with their system
