PayPal Redemption Fee

💡 Premium is more than a free cash-out. Kudos Premium members also earn 1.25x the standard Boost rate on every eligible purchase, so you earn more before you ever redeem. Upgrading to Premium or purchasing a Lifetime plan also waives the PayPal processing fee.

Important: Gift card links expire after a set window and cannot be reissued once expired, as Amazon handles gift card generation and delivery entirely. If you don't receive your gift card within 72 hours, check your spam/junk folder right away.

After you submit a redemption, its status shows as In Review while we process it. This is the normal state for every redemption and does not mean anything is wrong with your account or your request.

Most redemptions clear this stage and are delivered within 48-72 hours. Occasionally, it takes a bit longer, and PayPal payouts in particular can take up to 7 business days when additional verification is involved. No action is needed while a redemption is under review, and your Boost balance stays intact throughout.

If your Amazon gift card hasn't arrived after 72 hours, check your spam and junk folders first. If it still isn't there, or if a PayPal payout hasn't landed within 7 business days, email us at support@joinkudos.com, and we'll happily help you.

Occasionally, a PayPal payout comes back as Denied by PayPal. PayPal sends this status, not Kudos. It means PayPal couldn't accept the payment into the account on file, and it doesn't mean anything went wrong with how we sent the payout.

Can I split my redemption between PayPal and Amazon?

Yes. Each option requires a minimum of $10. For example, if you have 5,000 Boost ($50), you can redeem $20 to PayPal and $30 as an Amazon gift card.

Can I split my PayPal redemption between two different PayPal accounts?

No. Only one PayPal account can be linked to your Kudos account at a time, and each redemption is sent in full to that account. If you'd like to send funds to a different PayPal account, you can update the PayPal account linked to your Kudos profile before submitting your next redemption. See "How do I change the PayPal account linked to my Kudos?" below.

How long does processing take?

Both PayPal and Amazon redemptions typically process within 48-72 hours. Occasionally a redemption takes a bit longer, and PayPal payouts can extend to up to 7 business days when extra verification is involved.

My redemption says "In review." Is something wrong?

No. Every redemption passes through an "In review" state while it processes, and it clears on its own. You don't need to do anything, and your Boost balance is safe. See "What 'In Review' Means" above for the full timeline.

Why didn't I get my PayPal redemption?

If it still shows as "In review," it's still processing, and PayPal payouts can take up to 7 business days. If it shows as Denied, PayPal wasn't able to accept the payment, usually because the linked email doesn't match an active PayPal account, the account isn't verified, or there's a hold on it. See "If Your PayPal Redemption Shows 'Denied'" above for the steps to sort it out.

Can I change or cancel my redemption after submitting?

No. You can't modify or cancel redemptions once submitted, even if they show as "In review." Double-check your selection and your linked PayPal email before confirming.

Do I need a PayPal account?

Yes, you'll need a valid U.S. personal PayPal account in good standing. You can sign up for free at paypal.com.

How do I change the PayPal account linked to my Kudos?

You can update your PayPal email directly from your Kudos Account Settings:

Is there a fee to redeem to PayPal?

Non-Premium members are charged a $2.99 processing fee per PayPal redemption. Kudos Premium members redeem to PayPal for free.

How is the PayPal processing fee charged?

The $2.99 fee is automatically deducted from your redemption amount. There's no separate charge. For example, if you redeem $10 to PayPal, you'll receive $7.01.

Do Premium members earn more Boost, or just redeem for free?

Both. Premium members earn 1.25x the standard Boost rate on eligible purchases, and redeem to PayPal with no processing fee. Non-Premium members earn the standard rate and pay $2.99 per PayPal redemption.

I didn't receive my Amazon gift card. What should I do?

Check your spam/junk folder right away for an email from no-reply@joinkudos.com with the subject line "Kudos: Redeem Your Gift Card." To avoid this in the future, add no-reply@joinkudos.com to your contacts before you redeem, mark any Kudos emails as "Not Spam" if they land in junk, and check your email filters to make sure nothing is rerouting our emails.
