How Does Kudos AI Bill Negotiation Work?

Kudos AI Bill Negotiation is a Premium feature that uses AI to call your service providers and negotiate lower rates on your behalf.


What Kudos Does For You

Once you request a negotiation, our AI agent handles the entire process:

  • Calls the provider's customer service line

  • Navigates phone menus and hold times

  • Speaks with retention specialists

  • Negotiates discounts, credits, or lower rate plans

  • Handles verification steps (with your approval for any one-time codes)

  • Finalizes changes to your account

You can follow along in real time with live progress updates, from "Calling provider..." through "Your bill was reduced."

How Do I Get Started?

From the web:

  1. Open the Cancel & Lower My Bills section in your Kudos account

  2. Find the bill you want to lower

  3. Click "Help me lower my bill"

  4. Kudos AI takes it from there

From the Kudos mobile app:

  1. Tap Spend from the home screen

  2. Tap the banner that says, "We'll help cancel subscriptions and lower bills. Get started."

  3. Find the bill you want lowered

  4. Kudos AI takes it from there

Troubleshooting

Not receiving your one-time passcode (OTP)?

Some providers send the OTP to the phone number they have on file for your account, which may differ from your current number. If the code isn't arriving, this is the most likely cause.

When the OTP prompt appears during your session, you can update the phone number directly in the modal before requesting the code. Enter the number your provider has on file for your account, and the code should come through. If you're not sure which number your provider has on file, you can usually find it by logging into your account on the provider's website.

What if the negotiation is unsuccessful?

Results are not guaranteed. Providers control the outcome. If we're unable to negotiate a lower rate, you'll be notified and can try again at a later date. Providers are more likely to offer discounts near the end of a contract or promotional period, so it's worth trying again if your situation changes.

We will never change or downgrade your plan. Kudos only negotiates better rates within the plan you already have.

  • By requesting a negotiation, you authorize Kudos to act as your representative with the provider

  • Kudos negotiates better rates within your current plan. We do not make changes to your service or downgrade your plan

  • Calls may be recorded where permitted by law; recordings are available for you to review in My Wallet β†’ Cancel & lower bills

  • Kudos does not process refunds; any refund requests must go directly to the provider

AI Bill Negotiation is available exclusively to Kudos Premium members. Premium also includes:

  • Unlimited auto-cancellations

  • Auto-activation of card-linked offers

  • Advanced subscription tracking

  • 2 years of transaction history
