How it works
Kudos monitors your recurring payments and can:
Cancel subscriptions you no longer use (with your approval before anything is cancelled)
Negotiate lower rates on bills like internet, phone, and cable — with no plan changes or service downgrades
Alert you before a free trial charges so you can decide whether to cancel
Track your savings from cancelled or reduced subscriptions over time
Set Up Auto-Cancel
Step 1: Open Lower & cancel bills
In the mobile app
Tap Spend from the bottom navigation
Tap the Lower bills & cancel tab at the top
Tap Subscriptions
On the web
Log in to your Kudos account
Go to My Wallet → Cancel & lower bills
Step 2: Switch to "Your subscriptions"
Below the search bar you'll see two filters. They show very different things, and this is the most common point of confusion.
All subscriptions is our full directory of services Kudos can help you cancel. It lists everything we support, including services you don't pay for. This is the default view.
Your subscriptions shows only the recurring charges we've detected on your linked accounts, along with the amount and billing frequency we found.
Tap Your subscriptions to see what you're actually paying for. If you're looking at the default view and wondering why Apple, Amazon, or Spotify are listed when you don't subscribe to them, that's why.
Step 3: Choose Your Preferences
Auto-cancel unused subscriptions - Kudos cancels services you haven't used in 60+ days (requires approval first)
Negotiate bills - Kudos contacts providers to lower rates on internet, phone, cable
Step 4: Approve Actions
Kudos will never cancel anything without asking first
You'll receive a notification when Kudos identifies a cancellation opportunity
Review and approve with one tap
Kudos handles the actual cancellation process (no phone calls required)
Cancel vs. Guide
Each subscription has one of two buttons, depending on whether the merchant supports automated cancellation.
Cancel means Kudos handles it for you. Tap it, confirm, and we contact the merchant on your behalf. No phone calls or retention scripts on your end.
Guide means the merchant requires you to cancel through your own account. Tap it and we'll walk you through the exact steps for that service.
Which button appears is set by the merchant, not by your plan. Nothing is cancelled without your approval either way.
Don't see a subscription you're paying for?
A few reasons a charge might not appear under Your subscriptions:
The account isn't connected. We can only detect charges on linked accounts. Many subscriptions are paid from a checking account rather than a credit card, so connect your bank as well.
We need more history. Recurring charges are identified from patterns in your transactions. A new subscription may take one or two billing cycles to appear, and newly connected accounts take 24 to 48 hours.
The charge amount varies. Subscriptions with changing amounts are harder to identify as recurring.
If a subscription you're paying for still isn't showing after 48 hours, contact support@joinkudos.com and we'll look into it.

How Much Can You Save?
Average Kudos user savings:
$147/year from cancelled unused subscriptions
$294/year from negotiated bill reductions
Total: $441/year in automatic savings
Bill Negotiation: Lower Rates, Same Service
When Kudos negotiates your bills, we contact your provider and work to get your current rate reduced. No plan changes. No downgraded service. We negotiate better rates within the plan you already have.
Our AI agents handle hold times, transfers, and retention scripts on your behalf — the same process that helped one Kudos user go from $130/month to $60/month on their T-Mobile plan, saving $840/year without changing a single feature of their service.
Want to hear exactly what happened on your call? You can listen to a recording of your negotiation call at any time in My Wallet → Cancel & lower bills.

FAQs
Will this affect my credit score?
No. Cancelling subscriptions and lowering your bills has no impact on your credit score.
What if I want to restart a cancelled subscription?
You can always resubscribe directly with the merchant. Kudos saves your cancellation history for reference.
Does Kudos charge a fee?
Kudos Premium is required. No additional fees for cancellations or bill lowering.
What if I'm already on the lowest possible plan?
If your provider confirms you're already at the lowest available rate, we'll let you know. No action will be taken, and you won't be charged anything extra. It's still worth trying. Providers often have unadvertised retention rates or promotional credits that aren't available unless you ask.
Will the bill negotiation change my plan or downgrade my service?
No. Kudos negotiates better rates within the plan you already have. You keep the same service. We just work to lower what you're paying for it.
