Why Didn't I Earn Boost Rewards on My eBay Purchase?
If you were expecting cashback on an eBay order but didn't see it, you're not alone, and there are a few common reasons this can happen. eBay's commission program has specific requirements that determine whether a purchase qualifies, and some shopping behaviors can unintentionally result in your order not being tracked to Kudos.
How Kudos Boost Rewards Work
Kudos passes 100% of the commission we earn from merchants directly to our users. There's no markup, no cut — what we earn, you earn. The flip side of that is that when eBay doesn't pay a commission on a purchase, there's nothing for us to pass along. We've confirmed this directly with the eBay Partner Network, which has verified that untracked transactions are not the result of any systemic issue on eBay's end — they're the result of specific order or attribution conditions not being met.
Why Orders Go Untracked
The most common reasons an eBay order won't earn Boost rewards:
Attribution was credited elsewhere
If another browser extension was active during your session, or if you navigated to eBay through an external link (like a Google Shopping result or a promotional email), the commission may have been attributed to a different partner. Once attribution is claimed by another publisher, Kudos cannot earn a commission on that order.
No qualifying click within 24 hours
A qualifying click through Kudos must occur within 24 hours before completing your purchase. If that window has passed, the order won't be tracked to Kudos regardless of whether Boost was active.
The order type isn't eligible
Certain order types fall outside eBay's commission program entirely, including purchases made through accepted Best Offers (including auto-paid offers). In these cases, no commission is paid regardless of how the order was placed.

Getting It Right Next Time
A few simple habits can make a big difference:
Disable other extensions before shopping on eBay — even extensions unrelated to cashback can interfere with tracking.
Start your session through Kudos rather than clicking into eBay from Google or a promotional email.
Complete your purchase within 24 hours of your qualifying Kudos click.
Browse before you buy — spending a few minutes on eBay after activating Kudos helps establish proper attribution before checkout.
Weigh coupons against cashback — in some cases, skipping a promo code and earning Boost rewards may save you more overall.
Disclaimer
Boost rewards eligibility is governed by eBay's commission program and partner policies. Kudos cannot override these exclusions or issue rewards for orders for which no commission was received.
